The site has information about all types of genital infections, with photographs. But be warned – the pictures are explicit, and not for the squeamish.

Its website is very informative, and has detailed Q&A sections on each of the main infections, and a section on how to discuss infection with your partner.     US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is a US government organization that has information about sexually transmitted infections on its website. It also sponsors the USA National STD Hotline, which gives advice about sexually transmitted infections. Tel (USA): 800 227 8922.

    Pharmaceutical companies thrush websites. The Thrush Advice bureau website is sponsored by the pharmaceutical company Pfizer. Pfizer makes Diflucan thrush treatment, so the ‘Treatment’ section of the site promotes this drug. The other sections of the site have excellent information about thrush and some other genital infections. The Canesten websites are sponsored by the pharmaceutical company Bayer. Bayer makes Canesten thrush treatment, so the sites promotes this treatment. They also have information about symptoms.
